I just watched The Breakfast Club for the first time. The DVD had two English-language audio tracks, however, one was the same as the other but with DTS. I think they missed out. They should have included an audio track in which the adults' voices were replaced by WAH-WAH (as in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ss2hULhXf04).

Incidentally, I still don't know why it was called a breakfast club. Only Allison brought any cereal.

This movie easily could have been based on people I knew.

+Bruce Shark I think we all knew some people like them. Dazed and Confused is another movie that reminds me of some of the people I knew in high school.

This is me when John McCain and Dick Cheney get in front of a camera and try to convince me that war is a good thing.

+paul jaques how old is Rupert these days? I'm sure he has offspring they will carry on his disease. (hope not)  It has taken me years to deprogram my Dad.  He used to only watch FOX until I started explaining to him why it is a biased new source.  He better understands now but all of friends and close family do not.  They still tell my Dad that President Obama is "Muslim"  *eye roll*  I imagine one day there will be a research study on the damage that FOX has caused.

It is disheartening when people simply believe what they want to believe even in the face of clear evidence. I have even heard people talking about the Muslim president in my travels. (Unbelievable) Mud sticks. These very same tactics are being used in Australian politics with simple one line slogans being repeated over and over again so that they stick in people's minds. Truth doesn't seem to matter and this has been evident in Australia over the past 5 years. Media is complicit and people don't seem to be able to remember what even happened last week let alone in the last electoral cycle.

My own father always had a mind of his own and I always looked up to him for being so independent. But when he cast victims of catholic priests as nothing more than greedy gold diggers and supported government ministers acting as judge and jury in court cases I suddenly lost respect.

I hate talking on the phone for a multitude of reasons, but chief among them is probably the "speaking through a potato" audio quality of voice calls.
